I was told at work during a visit to town that this was the nicer Waffle House in the area and I was not disappointed when I went.
Really nice staff, clean place, and I'd go back when in the area. I wasn't expecting too much showing up at a Waffle House late at night in the middle of a cold week, but the place was immaculately clean, everyone working there was friendly and wanted to make sure my food was good, and speaking of that - the food was so good I ordered even more. You could tell the cook wanted to make sure you were getting tasty food and not something that was slapped together. -

Food came out great despite everything else. The server just doesn't listen I guess.
I thought maybe it was me at first, but it wasn't.
She made ordering food a little more complicated than it needs to be. The. The cook/supervisor had to debrief the night cook as they made a shift change, according to the server. It did take the cook about 7 or 8 minutes to come out and start my order after I ordered, but then like I said, food came out great.
Triple scrambled, cheese, ham, wheat, plate and a large milk with the meal. -

Simply the worst breakfast in town. Disabled and needing help with my breakfast after 10 days of food poisoning and gallbladder surgery I was searching for an omelet to go in Columbia. After a slew of disappointments in the Columbia food scene I thought at least you can count on Waffle House.
I could not have been more wrong. After ordering my food I was watching a kitchen in absolute shambles falling further apart. Gloved employees wiping countertops with gloves and wiping knife blades on filthy aprons then touching raw and cooked foods. I finally had to ask the manager to stop the cook from this. She ordered the kitchen utensils turned over and the cook made a snide comment about he did not know so many chiefs were in the room. He continued to place his gloves everywhere never changing them.
I got the food to find it was inedible. It's like they whipped the eggs in grease before cooking. Every bite had oil squirting into your mouth and the mushrooms rancid. I ask for cheddar cheese but instead got the nastiest American cheese you could imagine and as if that was not enough the ham was pure salt and had the gamey tainted taste of rot.
I had taken this to go as my dog was with me so I could not return it in person but I thought as least the dog might eat it. Nope! This was my first visit back in awhile as General cleaning had been absent both locations for some time as well as a murder in the other location. Never again until I make back down south where Waffle House apparently still cares. -

It's OK the food is all right the service is OK most times I've had a few times where the service was pretty bad. the prices are reasonable it's open 24 seven as far as chain breakfast restaurants go it's not a bad value.

What is there to say about Waffle House that has not already been said??? This place is perfection. Delicious food, friendly people, and the best breakfast place to hit when you only have $5 in your pocket.
I always get the Pecan Waffle - I'm sure there are other great things on the menu but I tried this once and fell in love.
Hot syrup and melted butter atop a waffle and a strong bottomless cup of coffee -- what more could a girl ask for???
